HR Trends and Buzzwords Affecting HR Software Development
September 26, 2023 admin
We at XperienceHR believe that attending HR conferences and events is an essential part of being a successful time and attendance system developer. By staying up-to-date on the latest trends and HR challenges, and by networking with other HR professionals and vendors, we can put ourselves in your shoes. We are striving to keep our XperienceHR time and attendance system adjustable, user-friendly, secure, all while meeting the needs of modern HR teams with variety of work cultures.
We are sharing our key takeaways from the Televízia TA3 and HRcomm conference Human Capital 2023 which our team attended online.
AI Technologies In HR
- 80% of HR processes is currently automated. For example, in recruitment, AI can screen million profiles daily without tiring its eyes.
- Who is already losing jobs thanks to AI today? E.g. copywriters, software developers. What keeps humans on the job market? Upskilling and education.
Business and HR Transformation
- Business and HR transformation should be defined with this principle in mind: employee needs to be treated just like your customer. Upgraded internal process and modern technologies are supporting this at a great scale. Paper timesheets on the table must go!
- Transparent communication towards your employees about the “Why?” behind HR transformation is the key to embracing the changes.
- Employee survey sourced out to an external employee survey provider can reveal much more honest and open opinions on the ongoing changes and desired changes.
Wellbeing – Yet Another Buzzword?
- Wellbeing, burnout prevention, personal development are all REAL needs.
- Cutback on internal-events-budget does not mean that wellbeing program or team-building must be cancelled. Get creative and keep the teams interaction going.
- Younger people tend to burnout faster. For some reason the older generation has their protective red flags and alarms set up at much better level.
Diversity and Inclusion
- Mutual respect is the very basic virtue which still needs to be taught and practiced.
- In internal communication towards your employees often highlight positive examples of the inclusion. For example, new colleague with disability was not able to reach out to the attendance terminal for daily clock-in and clock-out. This was immediately addressed and fixed.
Thanks again for such excellent panel discussions. All four were packed with practical examples and honest opinions which has truly inspired us! The real-life experiences confirmed that what we are doing at XperienceHR – helping to track time and absences – contributes greatly to digitalization and strategic goals.
